oh god, wow. so powerful. Poor Jack, he's the one who always has to make the hard choices and do the jobs no one else wants to do.

He's one big ball of necessary evils, really.

How come, even when you kill off Ianto, hint Jack/Gwen, make Tosh miserable and generally wander down the more unhappy of the dark little alleys lurking at the back of Torchwood's usual streets (eheh, apparently Jack/Gwen is included there. Not doing well on being converted, it seems), I still adore it?

Gorgeously upsetting, if such a thing can be. And I really, really love the last two paragraphs. :)

Gorgeously upsetting

See, the song I wrote this to has a lyric like that; "Oh, this glorious sadness" or somesuch thing. I cried writing bits of it, but I love it - I think it's one of the better things I've written.

And yes, not doing a brilliant job of being converted. I think a lot of Jack/Ianto fans are sighing in relief.

*whimpers* the 246 bus goes past my bus stop...
An amazingly powerful fic, which I totally love and praise you for, even though you killed off my favourite character.

It seems to be the number of co-incidences; when I first typed it I wondered if I should change it and while I was thinking checked the word count. 246. *creepy music plays*

And thank you, I'm really glad you enjoyed it despite cadaver!Ianto.

What laligin said. I particularly liked that you focused on how many times Jack's seen people under his command die and how difficult that has to have been on him through the years. Plus, this is Ianto, and oh, the last sentence. *sobs*

I don't see that you can ever get used to death, not if you still care about people and I think it's one of the crappier things Jack has to deal with being all immortal.

This is Ianto, after all. Wouldn't do to have them bent or smudged, would it?

I'm just curious why did Jack shoot him? It'll kill me not knowing I was waiting for you to explain why Jack had shot Ianto through the story but you didn't please do tell
