Title: Never made a fool of you Author: shadowbyrd Rating: R Fandom: Torchwood Pairing: Jack/Toshiko, Jack/John Prompt: 32. Feelings for otp_100 Word Count: 321 Summary: Jack struggles to understand love in the 21st century.
Chills down my spine. And I loved the last line, and how pissed I was at Jack for thinking Toshiko boringly familiar. He is an unrepentant bastard sometimes.
I find Jack curious in this respect; often he just seems thooughtless, but sometimes he is sorry that he has to do these things or ask them of others, but pushes anyway.
EXCELLENT! This is the real!Jack Harkness and I love how you capture him in all his manipulative, bastardy glory, and the fact that he has no compunctions about screwing Tosh without loving her back makes me love him all the more.
This definitely gets a real!Jack commendation in the next pimp post.
I don't know about real!Jack, but I do enjoy writing this dark, morally bleak side of Jack. There's this selective remorse/guilt thing going on; sometimes there's bigger stuff going on, and he doesn't care about what's going on with the individuals, sometimes the fact he's doing this to them as opposed to some faceless stranger makes it worse.
Really, really enjoyed this, partly because nobody's a good guy. We're all flawed and sometimes our flaws hurt other people and sometimes they don't. Great character piece.
