I remember feeling similar when S1 of Dr Wo ended and Ecceston was replaced by Tennant. IT was like he's not my doctor the one I first got to know. but I realised that I actually liked the new doctor after a while. and I think so did Jack.

Loved this fic. and great memories of the leather jacket. I think David Tennant would have looked good in leather

He did for the ten minutes he was in the jacket, didn't he?

*nods* I have to admit, while I've come around ten I still really miss nine. I think in some ways Jack would prefer Ten - with him and Nine, Nine was always very much in charge, whereas he and Ten are more like equals.

Thanks for reading, and I'd glad you enjoyed it!

Yes I agree Jack would prefer 10 for that reason.

Nine just had the certain something that I still miss sometimes. He was the first ever Doctor I saw so he will always be one of my Fave's.

I also wish they had made a series with Paul Mcgann. He was also an awsome doctor and perhaps bring Fitz into it.

A series with Paul McGann's Doctor could have been fun, especially with Fitz!

And I know exactly what you mean. Nine is one of my favourites, if not the favourite. It's taken me a very long time to warm to Ten and while I do like him, I'm now really looking forward to Eleven!

This was really good. I think we sometimes forget that Jack never did get to see "his" Doctor again, that even if he did get to reunite with the Doctor, there was never a chance for resolution with the same face and voice. You brought the point home so well ( ... )

It's something that's bugged me a little, and while in some ways I think that Jack prefers Ten (they're more like equals for one thing) I can't help but think that he's better suited to Nine. Though that could just be nostalgia on my part ;)

And yes, given all the relics he's got from the Doctor's adventures in his office, I don't think that he's letting the jacket go anywhere out of sight for too long!

I'm really glad you liked it so much, and thank you for the lovelt comment!

Ah, that was lovely! You don't often see reflections on how Jack feels about Nine turning into Ten. Thanks for this!

I'm a little disappointed we didn't see any of it on screen, but hey - if we all had a pound/dollar/potato for every time that happened with these two series we'd all be rich (although, given the current climate, probably not flithily so).

I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thank so much for commenting.

Oh, this kind of broke my heart. But it was very well written, I'm glad to have read it.
