You wrote Master/Toshiko. I can't believe it. I would never have thought of that pairing, and I definitely wouldn't have been able to pull it off. I loved this, especially the careful parallels with Lucy.

Hey!

To be honest, when I comes to my favourite characters, I will ship them with just about anyone, even characters I hate. In October I tried to pair her with somebody different everyday. That fell apart a bit due to The Hub, and then my Granddad, but it was fun to try.

I'm really glad this worked for you, despite the outlandish pairing.

Oh, wow. This is beautiful, and dark, and devastating. I like your style of writing. The Master doesn't see the horror, but you set down the images -- people thrown out of planes; Torchwood Three murdered, casually, one by one; Toshiko brutalized mentally and physically -- and let the readers see it in their own heads. And you allowed the Master into your head in all his insanity and cruelty. You're braver than I am!

I have to be honest, when I read it back I wasn't sure it was dark enough. Having spent time away from it and read it through again, I think that should be worrying me more than it is.
