I think I would feel less guilty about killing for meat if I did it myself, because I would see it happen and know the consequences first-hand. But even then, I'm such a priss that I can't even touch raw meat, so I mostly eat tofu, potatoes, and sometimes fish.
I loved Animorphs. I admit that my first fanfiction I ever wrote was for Animorphs, and it starred ME as the BEST ANIMORPH EVER. AND I was Marco's girlfriend. Isn't that just awesome? (Oh man, I'm laughing now, but seriously, I was so serious about it all back then.) I started with book 2! It was on sale, and I made my dad's second wife buy it, because even back then I was sexist and would only read books starring girls. I HAVE NOT READ THEM ALL =O. But I will - I WILL!
OH AND TO ADD: I got up to about book...uh....38 or 42, before I got poor and missed out on buying them all. THAT is why I haven't read them all, not because I didn't like them!
I understand. I just... don't feel, personally, like a living, breathing animal is food, that you should kill and eat. At least in a non-survival situation. I'm too empathetic.
