I am being very selective about the places I send them to. As much as this place has fucked me without lube in recent months, I am not going to cut off my nose to spite my face. I will be leaving on MY terms, for a place with better pay and at least the same benefits. It's a real shame. The NHS had in me and various other members of my team quite dedicated, loyal and hard working technicians. I'd have been quite happy to stay here for the rest of my life. But they HAD to fuck with us. For my colleagues the pensions reform was the cut off. For me it was that and the messing about with on call remuneration. But everyone has a breaking point. Loyalty only goes so far when it is not returned or appreciated.

Interesting times! But even if your previous job was nice and good, it sounds like you did the right thing; not just so that Kevin'll be covered, but also so that you'll continue to have a job. It's one thing to move on more or less seamlessly; it's quite another to be let go and suddenly have to find something else, QUICKLY. And a larger company that has big projects cooking will provide you with much more job security.

For now, enjoy your week of free time. :)

*hugs* Niko is doing well. He is just as bouncy and full of himself as he ever was. :D

And thanks, I will enjoy the week off. It's going to let me get caught up on a bunch of little things that have gone neglected.

Thanks, too. *leans and nuzzles* Yeah, things have not been entirely pleasant in recent weeks, but with any luck, it'll all be behind me soon, and I'll be able to reap the rewards. I hope.
