In the bathtub of history the truth is harder to hold on to than soap . . .

Throughout all of October and November, I wished and wished and hoped and hoped and prayed and prayed for snow. Did it snow? A few times. Enough for them to close the campus? Never. Not even close. Not until last Saturday.

It's beginning to look a lot like . . . a rant about the weather, baked goods, and the obligatory, random sports news. )

work, rants, weather

Good lord, I'm glad you're okay. My car refused to start today, so I had to hike over to the nearby rectory and ask one of the priests for jumper cables. That was a bit surreal.

Ooh. Sounds surreal. Actually, any interaction I've ever had with a priest has been mildly surreal. I was raised to be pretty irreligious with a side of Lutheranism thrown in, so priests always kind of awed my brother and I.

Although, I did get myself together long enough to interview a member of los hermanos penitentes (who, of course, aren't priests but are very, very mysterious) without making a complete ass of myself. I hope.

Have you, by chance, seen Millions yet? It's the new Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, etc.) movie and it's SO heartwarming and adorable you just want to moosh it. Um.

Anyway. *rambleramble*.
