Can't wait for more! There wasn't enough USUK!! I know you're setting up the characters and stuff, so that isn't a critique. I just am very impatient when it comes to USUK: I LIVE for it, and it is my nourishment.

Firstly, just gotta comment on the vacuum/Hoover thing. My mum worked at Electrolux and we grew up with the 'it's not a Hoover' statement! Our washing machine is a Hoover and I take great pleasure directing people to it when I'm asked where the 'Hoover' is! Lol!

Anyway, totally loved this story. Giggled my was through it and immensely enjoyed it all. I'm so glad you put Portugal in here and I hope you expand on his and England's relationship as well. They are very close!

Ahhh, so mean picking on the people looking for the hoovers. My GCSE History class were deeply and geniunely confused when we looked a little at the American Depression and how it tied into the World Wars - in particular, Hooverville. (I distinctly rememeber the conversation going something along the lines of:
Class: But why would they name a town after a vacuum cleaner? What did the vacuum cleaners do?
Teacher: That was the name of the President.
Class: ...They actually named one of their presidents after a vacuum cleaner?)

I really wish there was a canon Portugal in APH already, truly. The Anglo-Portuguese alliance needs more fic/art exploitation. XD
