I was rereading the memory arc of TRC the other day, and Nameless Eyepatch Guy (Kurogane's father's retainer) stood out to me. In all the wrong ways. He's obviously the world-jumping son of some AU Kurogane and Fai, what with the limp wrist, and the eyepatch, and the sword, and the clothes and the pose. And with Fai as one father, you just know

I said it would be easier - and quicker - to write in rhyme. You were the one that 'alas, poor Kuro-pon'd me and set me off with couplets.

You DO realize that the retainer was voiced by Namikawa Daisuke in the anime? =w=; So it's all canon, ahaha~ I've always secretly shipped him with Kuro!dad. =3=

I think I would ship the retainer with Kuropapa, if only Kuropapa and Kuromama weren't so stupidly cute together. Aside from youthful experimental fumblings I don't think I can ship them properly - my heart wibbles at the thought of breaking up the family derpiness. ^^;;;

Ah yes... I love that nameless retainer!
I always envisioned him as Kuropapa's side/past lover or Kuro-chibis first love... or a spy/contact for Amaterasu...or Kuro-mama's aide/cousin...so many possibilities! He's certainly interesting and I suspect Clamp like him as well, because he's missing an eye and one-eyed characters always have an interesting story in Clampverse. Wonder where he left that eye...or with whom.
Intriguing.

As is this ballad.. it's cute and morbid and it rhymes... *laughs* But he has obviously more in common with Fai here, though some traces of Kuro-pon's sternness are there as well.
Very cute and very worthwhile!

A few names given to the Suwa characters would've been appreciated. *sighs* It would make making up back-stories for them so much easier.
