I'm sorry it took so long for an update. ;w; I kept getting distracted by my other stories, and once you get into the habit of putting something off, you eventually forget about it entirely. ;;; A few people poked me about this fic last week - at which point it was a case of kicking my lazy ass into gear and just settling down to work on it. ^^

Fff, I wish there was more Fluorite-sibling fic - as a pairing, or just as friends. There's a great lack in the world, alas. ;___;

Just read the whole thing from the very start, and I must say that this fic=WIN

Once I got my brain to stop doing crazy cartwheels (OMGFIGURESKATERKURO!8D) and was able to concentrate on the story itself, I pretty much fell in love with it after the first paragraph. This fic totally reminded me of why I love present day!AUs so much <3

*grin* A few people seem to have that reaction about dear Kuropon. My first reaction was something along those lines too, but since the idea was sprung on me at 4am one morning mostly all my brain was capable of was a very slow '..........bwuh?'

I have a teeny, small, itsy-bitsy love for present-day AUs too. (Just...not the majority of them. *twithes at too many experiences of badfic*) Theoretically - theoretically, she says, whilst rolling her eyes heavenward and knowing she's now put the kiss of death on it - they mean less research to do when writing them, and less checking to make sure something isn't anachronistic. (Although sometimes I miss the historical stuff. *baaws at herself and calls herself an idiot*) And...yeah. >> I'm just going to shut up now and make a start on the next chapter. ;;; *scuttles off*

Yeah, I must agree that there's a lot bad AU fanfics out there. But it's the few mind blowingly good stories that make me love them so ^^
Haha, I miss the historical stuff, too. I love present-day fics, but I'm also a sucker for historical stories, especially war stories. (Actually, now that I think of it I pretty much love ALL kinds of AU fics <3) The one day I get to read a good, full length World War-verse KuroFai fanfiction, I'll be able to die completely happy :D

Sadly, you'll probably be waiting an extaordinarily long time for any World War stuff - it's too volatile for most of the smart people to touch, or not worth the trouble it stirs up. Which...is wrong, I think, as everything should be open to the public domain, but...people also have the right to expect some sensitivity so...urgh, I don't know what I'm trying to say. It's a shame, but I don't think it's terribly likely to be done anytime soon. ;-;

Yay, I've been looking forward to this update! Kurogane sure is prickly, isn't he? Well, that just means that Fai will have to try harder to get under his skin. ^_~

Fai has an innate talent for annoying people, when he puts his mind to using it. ^_~

And fff, the next one should hopefully be a lot quicker in coming than this one; I've got about a third of it written out already. (Sometimes, shorter chapters are a blessing.)
