I could get used to this.  Like being back home, eh Dax?

Kinda weird seeing a beach with no Blue Eco though.

(( ooc: Jak is sprawled on the beach, still shirtless, enjoying the sun and working on his tan.  You may never hear him this genuinely happy ever again, enjoy it while you can! ))

You and... Daxter, right?

Hyrule's landlocked. I've never seen a beach before now... it's gorgeous.

Yeah, me an' Dax. We used to chase the seagulls along the ruins.

[He grins.]

You been swimming yet?

[hylian_courage]

Not yet. I've been a little distracted. There's a person here folding things out of leaves!

But if you're swimming I'll come! Where are you?

Just out here on the sand. Uh ... there's a shop nearby and a couple of Lurkers selling ice-cream.

Lurkers? You mean these weird Zoras?

Oh, I see them.

[Jak might see Link running over in the distance, boots and hat gone, pants rolled up to his knees and sleeves rolled up to his elbows!]

[Jak sits up slowly as he sees Link running across the sand. He's still exhausted, but just being out in the sun and somewhere comforting and familiar -- in a sense -- has chilled him out significantly.

He waves leisurely and stretches.]

[Link slows to a jog and finally to a walk, and when he gets to Jak he's out of breath. A good, healthy, happy out of breath. He grins at him.]

You look like you're enjoying yourself.

[Jak grins back. He's having the time of his life here.]

You could say that. Makes me wish the ship broke down more often.

[Link grins and sits down in the sand next to Jak, squishing his toes into it.]

This place is beautiful! The ocean's amazing when you're on land, looking out at it. It's not the same from the boat.

[Laughs sheepishly]

...when I first got here, I stared at the ocean from my balcony for a long time. I'd never seen it before.

[He leans back against his hands, feeling the grains of sand sift between his fingers. Feels like home.]

Seems like it goes on forever.

[Jak smiles as he looks across at the horizon, his almost permanent frown completely gone.]

It could almost meld into the sky, couldn't it?

[He lets out a long, happy sigh and stares at the horizon silently.

After a minute, he grins and flicks sand at Jak with his toes.]

[He's off in his own world, dozing contentedly until the sand flicks across his legs, shattering his day-dream. With a playful scowl, he picks up a handful of the loose grains and scatters them at Link.]

[He chuckles and raises his arms to shield himself from the sand, sputtering.]

Ugh!... It's gritty.

[But soft, too. The white sand was incredibly fine. Smiling at Jak for another moment, he stands up and starts peeling off clothing, starting with his belt and sword harness and then pulling his green tunic over his head.]

... Let's go swimming!

[He said it while peeling it off, his voice muffled by the cloth around his face still]

[He blinks wide eyes as Link strips his tunic off, then laughs.]

You know how to swim?

[Jak doesn't have a bathing suit; hell, after giving Capris his shirt earlier, all he has are his jeans and his boxers. Still, there isn't really anyone watching ...

With a grin, he yanks his jeans off.]

Last one in's a rotten egg.

[And with that battle cry, he races for the water, laughing over his shoulder.]
