So, uh, I just had to explain to my boyfriend (and keep in mind that this was set off by my library receipt, so he didn't see the cover) that
Bone and Jewel Creatures was fiction, not an instruction manual for making sculpture with skeletons. And, all things considered, such as those two skulls I have, this wasn't that unreasonable assumption.

But OMG, if I got some more sculpey and old jewelry I could probably make one. Getting it to stand would be tricky but I bet I could at least manage the right effect...

Typically I'll start with a tin foil and/or wire structure which I sculpt around, but that would be too bulky to do convincing joints.
