waah I liked it! now I'm curious about the rest *grins* I would peck the coyote as Vin but I'm not entirely sure (and now that I've written that, I'm not even sure that Vin's the sentinel) oooh the possibilities! great!

Thanks. The rest probably won't be coming for a while, which I probably should have mentioned. I have a lot of other things on the go, so this is basically an establishing fic that I can mull over.

The practical joker side of Vin is more fanon than canon, but even including that Vin doesn't really have the dual nature required. Dean shifts seamlessly from Trickster to Hero and back again. He's never quite who you think he is, which is why the coyote's perfect for him.

you're right of course about the coyote thing, put that way i agree completely, I guess I was more hung on the physical attributes, thin, scarred and so on... Also stories like these out of the blue and in new interesting universes popping up at random intervals is also fun... of course that I have a vested interest in your other WIP is quite effective in this assessment *grins*

Don't worry, Vin's still plenty thin and plenty scarred, but while he's got issues he's still got all his brothers supporting him. Not that that's ever stopped me from writing angst. Why I said that about Dean is that he's pretty much hanging onto his sanity by a thread at the moment. He's been tortured by a demon wearing his father's face, his father's died to save him leaving him with a huge burden and he's at loose ends without either his father's orders or the search for his father.

Cool idea! Oh, and I would love to see Blair and Abby have a conversation--that much enthusiasm in one room? Wowza. And of course Ezra would be the one to take precautions against Sentinel abilities. I hope there will be more?

Thanks. And can you imagine Blair, Abby and JD? Hee. That's just evil actually. And of course it would be Ezra :D Since I can't really bring Methos into this fic Ezra's going to be sneaky for him. There will be more eventually, but not too soon. If this verse completely takes over my brain it might be in the next few weeks, otherwise it'll have to wait until early next year.

Oh, you HAVE to keep this going, Shifty. I love, love, love it! Four shows I've watched, three I'm a fan of and one that I'm completely fangirl over, all in one 'verse? I want to see Blair, Abby and JD all in the same scene. No one will ever get a thought in edgewise, let alone a word. The only show I'd have to get up to speed on is SPN, which I don't watch, but that's a minor speed bump. Looking forward to more.

I've got ideas aplenty for this, so it will definitely be expanded on. Slowly and with shorter fics in the beginning I should think. Along with a Blair, Abby and JD scene I want to have Dean, Tony and Vin pranking each other, or Vin and Gibbs with a coffee thing. And you *must* watch SPN. It's got pretty pretty boys shooting things that go bump in the night and having angsty moments of utter repression and denial. It's awesome.

SPN is also on at a very bad time for me, and I already record more than I can ever watch. But as for the rest--oh, I'd love to see Gibbs and Vin in the same room, if for no other reason than to see the sharpshooters comparing notes. Marine vs. Ranger. Could be fun. And getting Abby and JD in the same place could cause some kind of cosmic overload just from the raw energy generated. Even without the Half Caf that Gibbs is always bribing Abby with. And I don't remember "due South" all that well, but I recall that Fraser was a real straight arrow--I'm trying to imagine him in the same room with Ezra Standish...hmmm....

Oh, you're going to overload my brain. Although I think Fraser would be used to characters of dubious moral integrity, he did fall in love with a crook after all. Plus, RayK has to have loosened him up some. Still, Ezra might be a little too dubious. As for Vin and Gibbs, it'd be pretty amusing with Vin and Tony as Sentinels trying to protect Chris and Gibbs as Guides, especially if they were trying to keep the other Sentinel from their very alpha Guides. And the sheer amount of Daddy/abandonment issues I could get from Tony and Gibbs' relationship alone. Arg... I must finish exams before I write more.

This is great! Sounds like one of my own crossovers. I love that you made Dean a Coyote, and didn't fall into the trap of making him a Wolf. He's much more Coyote than Wolf. I did a whole essay on it.

It all came about because I was having fun playing around with all the characters I could turn into Sentinels, but it'd be cool to see another take on it. Coyote does fit Dean really well, and to be honest I don't see Dean as a wolf at all since wolves are predominantly guides and teachers. Still, it'd be awesome to read the essay if you have a link to it.

Maybe not formal enough to be an essay

I think people get caught up in the fact that wolves are pack animals and Dean's so big on family, but I think that's unfair to Dean. There's a lot more to him than that.

wolves are predominantly guides and teachers

That's another good point that I hadn't thought about so much.

Frankly, the moment I heard coyote, I immediately thought, "Yes! That's Dean." He's the epitomy of a coyote spirit.

Wow. That sounds absolutely awesome. I'm only vauuuuuuugely familiar with Sentinel (Mostly through Mag 7 crossovers) and remember bits and pieces of Due South, but the others are fandoms I have spent significant times squeeing over and I gotta say, you sound like you have a great grasp of them all. I know you're crazy busy, but whenever you're able to post this, I am definitely looking forward to reading it. Is it okay if I friend you?

The idea of Tony as a cheetah has me incredibly happy for some reason

Thanks! I'm hoping that most fandoms people are unfamilar with will be elaborated as I go, Sentinel especially. And I'm working on it at this moment, with a few additions to the 'verse. Trying to find spirit guides for all of them is driving me insane, but that's half the fun of a new 'verse. Please, friend away.

I was going to make Tony a fox, but cheetah just fits him better. Plus, it shows off his strength and capability.

And also how he can just completely sprint into action and you're left in his dust, wondering what the hell just happened. *has an extremely soft spot for Tony*

I'm in the middle of "Mutability" right now...and that's an awesome way to crossover Mag7 and Without a Trace.

It beats reading for my grad seminar ^_^.

Don't worry, I have an equally soft spot for Tony.

And thanks, I had a lot of fun playing with Mutability. Now if only I could write the last fic in the series.

Procrastination is an art form :D
