Because it's alcohol, I'm using my sake-drinking icon from waaaaay back (2003).
I'm not a huge fan of beer but I certainly do like fruit beers. There was an Asian-French fusion restaurant a block from the church that introduced me to Belgian Cherry Beer. I loved the bottle it came in, topped with a champagne-style cork. I believe I've also had Raspberry and have found Apricot at the beer store.
As for being stuck with leftover beer (oh, horrors! lol), use it up in cooking. Carbonade a la Flamande IIRC (stock, beer, beef, onions). Or make a beer batter in which to encase some yummy morsels.
Cool! Perhaps we could all try beer tasting and sharing the funniest and most ingeniously named. I know we gave some really creative ones here, especially around Chistmas!
I'm not a white wine fan (I have no idea if they make anything else, I've only seen it in white) but I thought it very good. Would get it again if I ran across it.
YAY! I wondered if anyone would be interested... I loved recs for good beers and wines, but I've never really offered any recs of my own. Good to know people are interested!

And now I'm making myself hungry.

If it's any consolation, I buy wines for the name alone sometimes. How can you resist something called Fat Bastard or Rodney Strong? :D

Rodney Strong!? I will have to see if I can find that.

Rodney Strong was just too irresistible. :-)
