This bit just broke me:
“It doesn’t matter; I don’t accept that.” His hand came to rest across a silvery line of scar tissue that ran across Remus’s belly. “Do you remember how we always said, ‘forever?’ It isn’t over yet,” he muttered, and pressed his lips to Remus’s shoulder. “...I hate that I don’t know this scar.”
I really enjoyed it. Remus' hesitance, and feeling that he should be hesitant, while Sirius still had some of the drive from before Azkaban. Muted but still there. There's such hope in this, it's terrible knowing the coming outcome.
