Oh, this is so sad, Sirius needing comfort but not wanting to ask and Remus not wanting to give it until he's asked, and then finally Sirius does relent, just a little, but Remus can't give in all the way. *sniffle*

I loved this so much. Such strong emotions and sense of place throughout, and the end was just perfect. <3

This was beautiful -- you conjured such a strong sense of place for each of the three locations through which the story moved. And I particularly loved Sirius seeking solace first as Padfoot, able to ask for touch and kindness as a dog long before he can trust as a man. Beautiful.
