Your AOL chat icon is hilarious, by the way.

Hee. I love the AOL icon, too. hidden_w had made a few, and she graciously lets me use this one. I'm a Joan fan, too, so it's a two for one with me. :)

I'm glad that you appreciate the tension; much of the story was difficult to write because there was so much heartbreak in it. The boggart scene, in particular, was difficult. I knew it wasn't really Remus saying those things, but that didn't make it any easier, especially considering that's what Sirius really thought/feared Remus would say to him if Remus were being honest.
Anyway. Thanks again! I really appreciate the thoughtful comments.

love the pixies and the playful way they talk about peter in that part, as if he was just an old friend who was a bit of a prat. also adore your remus/sirius interaction - absolutely perfect.
favourite bit though... (i think i always do this) was about james. the list of the things james would have done in remus' place and then just the accepting that he was dead... just so sad. i miss james so much even though we never really knew him.
*ahem*
i'll go now.

We are right on the same page regarding James. It's a little scary how much I love a character we know next to nothing about. I just think, well, that Sirius would miss him terribly, as would Remus. I mean, I do, and well, he's fictional. *ahem*
Anyway, thanks again!

Also? The bit about Sirius' memories from his time pre-Azkaban? It's one of the best expressions of the reality of what Azkaban must be I've read.

You and I are both happy that Remus finally came around. :)
