Today is Friday to me -- I am taking tomorrow off for a change :)  I am going to go to a new class at the Y and then I am going shopping!!!  I have to come back and clean at some point, but shopping takes priority this time.

Eek!  What a crazy week so far!!!  Today is Friday, but it feels like a Monday, rats.  Waking up late does nothing to help this issue.  Drama has ensued around me, but I haven't taken much notice.  Either I am de-sensitized, or I just don't care anymore.  Hmmm.

Quick rundown of my weekend..... 1st experience teaching, lounging for hours in the sun by the pool, eating, watching Spaceballs (fav line: 'I can't breathe in this thing!', and 'May the schwartz be with you').  Sunday, more lounging by the pool, catching up w/Niki on wedding stuff, more eating, finally cooling down after long hot weekend.

Oh, what a quick weekend.... it always is.

Friday was calm - Christa and I chowed at Red Lobster....mmmmmm.... then went and petted kitties & doggies at the humane society.  Came back and chatted w/Maryann, Chad & Dawn till late.  Saturday was uneventful, but very relaxing.  I sat out on our pool for most of the day, then cleaned a little.  ( Read more... )

Ok, so not really Leonardo, but close!  Wed in TKD we got to practice with staffs - you know, like Leonardo.... j/k  It was very cool though.  After one night I know how to do front jab, overhead jab, and side jab.  Very spinn-ey.  The tricky part is rolling the staff over the back of your hand to finish the 'technique'.  I wish I had one at home ( Read more... )

Rude people!  I went for my usual walk at lunch today and I took a route where I ended up back on Lexington (a main road).  Minding my own business, I get this van that pulls up close (it is a 45 mph zone so it's hard to go slow, but they managed) and someone from inside it 'barked' at me and then sped off.  He literally barked.  I don't know ( Read more... )
