but this morning I stopped a robbery. I was walking past the pay & display carpark on Kings street, and heard an almighty bang. I looked over and saw a chap grabbing a laptop case from a van. It's more that I've been telling my folks that Glasgow isn't like when my dad used to work here. I know crime happens everywhere, just surprised at the response.

I agree with the disappointment of local involvement. I am probably with the minority that there needs to be greater community responsibility. You can't blame the police for everything, but it is the sort of crime they wouldn't have the man power to react to so crimanals get away with it.

That's just it, law of averages must say that they are unlikely to be stopped, so it's worth their while to try.

like I said elsewhere, it's just a case that I would hope that if it were my car being broken into in a busy carpark, someone would say no, stop that.

a sort of 'do as you would be done by'.
