I'm kind of jealous that you are discovering Valente and now get to read Orphan's Tales for the first time. That book is even more breathtaking than Palimpsest. Her's is one of only two author's blogs that I follow faithfully (the other is Patrick Rothfuss). Can't wait to hear what you think of Orphan's Tales!

I had planned to start Orphan's Tales tomorrow. I'm hoping for a thundery rainy afternoon, wouldn't that be perfect? :)

Also, if you have read her poems Apocrypha, I had a dream that I blame on the poem Gingerbread, quite funny and horrible and erotic all at the same time.
