Okay, I freaking LOVED it. I loved the camera work around the fire team, the music, the way that nobody really knew what to do, the lighting, the parallel with vows and blood... yes, it was a filler episode, but it was a GOOD one. :)
Hah, this was a fun episode -- I laughed my head off. And yes, every episode that diverts from the usual formula will be a filler episode in some ways (like Time was, in my opinion) - but that doesn't mean it can't be or wasn't brilliantly done
( ... )
This was really the first SGU episode where I kept laughing and laughing. In fact, laughing was infectious to the point that I could not take the serious things seriously, either.
Anyways, this might have been a filler, but I enjoyed it a lot. Indeed, it was great that for two weeks events just got a little less tense and frantic in a way. I am afraid we need to conserve some energy for the upcoming episodes....
I didn't watch the episode with high expectations, and was positive surprised. It was a good episode. I really enjoyed to see the people in "normal" surroundings, being normal people, in a normal town somewhere in the world all of us know, or recognise, somehow. And all of this interrupted at the right points with what happens in the SGU Universe, with an exciting story.
And no bad Rush this week, or more very heavy stuff for Young to deal with, both a good. Good to have a break before the next events will arrive for sure. Nobody died, everyone is back on board, even if things aren't ideal.

All in all, I liked the episode.
