LOL. On one hand, excite. On the other, damn it, they better not screw this up any more than I know is gonna happen. And I say that as someone who wasn't super thrilled but was content with the previous arrangement for this season so far

I straddle the line; love Misha, love Cas, am happy both are returning. But I also know that the show can't be all that it can be with Cas around; at least, not with the way it's being done right now. It'll be a mess, and a lot of fans won't care because they'll either be all over the happy train 'cause he'll be BACK, or, they'll just be mad he's back and storming off.

What pisses me off about it is, they killed off Bobby - more than likely for good - and, oh shocker, look who gets to come back. Even more rage-inducing because a lot of fandom have been saying the show couldn't survive without Castiel, so now they're going to jump on their high horses and beat their chests, screaming, "SEE, WE WERE RIGHT!" Which is crap, clearly, as it managed to survive for three seasons. But, well, I guess I'm one of the Negative Nellies who rather liked the series pre-angel invasion.

I'm more than a little pissed that it feels like the released Misha's return to distract fandom from the rage of Bobby's death. It just feels really disrespectful to the great ending they gave the character. I'm pretty mad about the fact that they kill of Bobby and then just bring back Cas. That annoys me.
But yeah. I like Cas plenty, but I wish he coulda stayed gone for a while longer. And I wish they news hadn't come out so close to Bobby dying, 'cause it kinda cheapens the drama, IMHO. And, yeah, like you said; the show can survive perfectly well(plot-wise) without Cas.
