Challenge: Spam Subject Line Lightning Fic-o-rama
If you've had an email address for any length of time, you've probably fallen victim to the email address harvesters and gotten a lot of emails offering you millions of dollars for helping out some poor Nigerian widow trying to get at her late husband's wealth, to improve your sex life, to make "it" larger, to sell you prescription drugs at pennies on the dollar, or a peek at sexy co-eds doing it just for you.
But, lately, there's been a new sort of spam-- ones with bizarre subject lines juxtaposing words and concepts you've never seen together before. It occurred to me one day as I was cleaning out my inbox that this sort of thing would be perfect for inspiring fic.
And so, I give you the Spam Subject Line Lightning Fic-o-rama. "Spam Subject Line" for obvious reasons-- you're using the subject line as a prompt-- and "Lightning" because I'm setting a one-week time limit, more or less. So, at midnight June 13th, it's all over. If I get a good enough response, I may do it again.
Rules? Pick a spam subject line, write fic, post it within a week. Fandom? I don't care. I pretty much only read SGA with a smattering of SG1 and Numb3rs, but if something just screams Buffy or Lost or Without a Trace, have at it. Slash, het, gen, any pairing, no pairing. Just have fun. Hey, at least maybe something good can come from all that spam!
