*Sqeee* He's awake! Yay! And how much do I hate you for making me happy that Kavanaugh is alive and awake! But I suppose I may just adapt myself to the fact I like the man becuz it appears I have no choice in the matter ( ... )

I wonder if its because Rodney could so easily *be* Kavanaugh.

This is my thought exactly-- Rodney realises he's been lucky in that regard and sees Kavanaugh as being where he was a few years ago, so hated the SGC sent him to Russia, even if they did eventually forgive him (though sending him to Antarctica and then Atlantis also gets him out of their hair).

Well, I'm not sure Ronon knows what exactly makes a runner, but the flashbacks to his life story show that the wraith tried to feed on him and, for some reason, couldn't, so they tagged him instead and made him a runner-- a practice target, basically.

Radek's more extreme. It's not just that they can't feed off him, but that he's actually poisonous to them. If he were actually in wraith clutches, they so be putting a beacon in his back right now.

And into John's ;) bet that wasn't part of their plan, lol!

Yah, I remember the flashbacks and I'd love to see more about it too. If whatever makes a runner a runner like anti-Wraith-ish... if it could be copied. Like what the Hoff were trying to do in Poison the Well.

Of course, now I think about it, I can't imagine Radek wud be too thrilled with Carson if he starts poking and prodding him trying to figure out what makes him tick. *wonders what trouble that will cause* oh, I'm all curious and excited now.

I wouldn't mind Carson poking and proding me.... nor would I mind seeing him poke and prod Radek.... I love Radek.

Very, very, very cool idea! Oh, Radek a runner! Ooohh, *melts*.
For some reason this is HOT... Oh, so hot.

Thanks. I've had this little scene in my head for a while now. Just needed a point in the fic where I could insert it.

They should take him on EVERY mission!

Well, he may be safe from wraith feeding, but he's still susceptible to heart attacks... ;> And being hauled off to a hive ship for experiments or to be tagged.

Well, I know in his situation, I wouldn't be conscious for very long...

Runner!Radek should be canon. *sagely nod*

That would be thoroughly cool. I'd be curious to see them deal with what makes a runner a runner, actually-- discover someone on Atlantis who's inedible to wraith.

Oh, and I'll admit, while Runner!Radek has been bouncing around in my head for a while, your chibi Radek and wraith just made me so need to write it, right now!

No, he is cute when scared. I adored his skittishness in Duet. I so wouldn't want him to lose that quality (though if he gets dragged on too many missions, he's going to lose some of it).

Yes, just annoy the heck out of them till they have to wake up just to tell you to shut up... ;>

See my explanation above for my understanding.

Oh, cool plot twist! why can't stuff like this be written for the series?

PS desert = sahara
dessert = pie or cake

Because they haven't hired me... ;>

Oh, and, you know, I know the whole "ss = twice as sweet" rule, but I'm always doing that anyway.

My big grammatical error is confusing "bring" and "take"-- my mother used "bring" in all cases and I inherited the error. Drives the husband batty. If I think about it, I know which one I should use, but I don't ordinarily think about it when talking.
