I keep promising to make it short, but haven't lived up to my intentions before. Maybe this time'll be different. Let's see ( ... )

Okay, it's showtime on the Bridge of the Daedalus. Steven, Richard, Jennifer and Ronon, along with armed guards, meet the Wraith off their small ship in the F302 bay. I'm surprised by how belligerent Todd was acting. Was that for the benefit of the two ... uh ... test subjects, so they'd think he still had the upper hand. And, serious, since The Queen, you'd think Todd would be more amiable, especially as he got a whole lot out of the deal ( ... )

Three aliens in the super-armour emerge from their ship that plunged through the roof of a building, make their way through the city to a spot where John and his guards can observe them, but not stop them from dropping three pie-shaped pieces onto the floor, forming a circle. Then the aliens stand on it, activate a white glowing energy shield around them and drop through the floor and several below it. John asks the question as to what's at the bottom of that tower. Teyla's the one who answers "Rodney". Definitely an oh-crap moment ( ... )

Finally the craft that kidnapped Daniel and Rodney arrives at the unknown white planet. [::giggles:: Oh, look, it's Hoth.] Two aliens hustle the two men by their jacket necks to a lab where they're thrust and ordered to fix the broken device a third alien was carrying ( ... )

Back on Hoth, Rodney's ready to activate the device, though Daniel tries to talk him out of it. But Rodney reminds him that, after they kill Daniel, they'll kill Rodney as well, so wouldn't it be better if neither of them gets killed at all? Rodney does his thing. Remarkably, they're still alive with no side-effects.

Oops, spoke too soon. On the Daedalus, Todd gets a private communication which he takes on the Bridge. But when one of his two support ships enters a hyperspace window, it's disintegrated. Todd is furious and wants to know how they did that, then adds that it was their plan to trick him using the "Attero" device. Of course, Richard denies everything.

So, Todd's retaliatory move is also EXTREMELY deus ex machina. He just happened to bring with him a portable stun weapon in his sleeves that he can activate in seconds ( ... )
