Weekly poll & Spoiler Discussion Post - June 20

Jun 20, 2008 14:33

Finally here it is, our inaugural weekly discussion post. Seeing as the last week has been distinctly short on major spoilers, I've had continuing issues with my computer so haven't had time to prepare and the season is getting ever closer it seemed like a good excuse to share our excitement and discuss what we are most looking forward to in the ( Read more... )

The one thing I can't wait to see is how that conceptual art of Sheppard burred in ruins plays out since he's also shown in photo on the hive during, I presume, Tela's rescue. Can't wait.

It's a real conundrum that one isn't it? Does the roof collapse in on him AFTER Teyla is rescued? Or is he not as badly hurt as it looked? Characters do sometimes have the habit of bouncing back from injury very quickly.

Yes they do. They all also look, showered, and Rodney at least, is waring a change of clothes. So it makes me wonder if they don't actually rescue Teyla on that day, but track them down later. I've been pondering that since one of the photos shows Rodney with his computer connected to something, and I'm wondering if he isn't getting that computer data he was after, after all. The hard part, for me, at this point is not to do too much speculation. ;)

*lol* That's the trouble with spoilers you start speculating and end up driving your self insane trying to figure it out.

You could be right, perhaps they save Sheppard, Ronon et al from the building at the beginning of the episode and then go back for Teyla later.

Or are you just excited by the prospect of SFX, wisecracking heroes and plenty of action?
That. Definitely that! I miss action and wisecracks and good SFX... Yes Supernatural I'm looking at you!

Then I'm looking forward to "The Shrine", because I think the book, of which this episode is supposed to be a somehow/in a way/maybe reverse of if I remember correctly, is an amazing story and I'm curious to see what SGA is doing with it.

This looks like it's going to be fill with a lot of angst, and I'm also looking forward to that. On my personal list of 'can't wait to see' this is second, but only by a small margin.

Yeah, given the story, I kinda figured. And if it's wrapped into a good, interesting storyline, then it's all good, too. I can deal with angst, I can't deal with The Infinite Loop of Doomy Angst! ;)

What's your number one on that list? The season premiere?

Well, being a Shep-whumper, all the spoilers about Shep being whumped, big or small (S&R, The Seed, Broken Ties, Remnants) has me over the edge.

Guest stars... I'll like seeing Shep's ex-wife returning simply because I think it will be interesting what they do with it in terms of Sheppard.

Team up of Teyla and Todd... hmm, I think it will make for an interesting episode. It has possibilities. I'm not overwhelmingly excited about this one, but I'll keep an open mind.

Shep-McKay friendship scenes are almost always okay by me. I usually love where they go those scenes. Although, The Shrine does not sound like one I'm going to be in love with. It's another 'save McKay' and I'm kind of getting sick of them. Again, open mind.

Oh yes... I'm looking forward to all things SGA.

Thanks for keeping this comm up. Its really awesome and I'm always checking it :)

Oh wait! I forgot one that I was wanting to discuss...

Daniel. Well, he's always been my favorite character on SG1. I love him and so I like to think I'll enjoy him on Atlantis as well. It has the possibility to be like Midway wit Teal'c, which was one of my favorite episodes. But it also has the possibility of being like The Return (I think it was) where I feel they overplayed Jack. Wore out his welcome.

So... I'm a little worried because I know the writers love Daniel, and then he's going to be paired up with their other favorite, McKay. So, I'm afraid it will be the Daniel and McKay show.

Sigh... open mind.

Hey just wanted to say I love your icon, haha. 8D

I also agree with you on the Sheppard & Ronon BFFness. There seem to be a lot of great episodes that focus on the team and the dynamics within it, can't wait!

(edit for proper English B| lolol no typing in the morning for me)
