Oooh, I love this, especially how aware John is of Todd's alienness and strengths -- " John doesn't think he'll be out-stealthing the ten thousand years old ambush predator with psychic powers any time soon" -- but also how he's not afraid. Perhaps it's that lack of fear that makes him equally interesting to Todd? (I also liked how Todd was so scornful of DADT *nods*)

John understands Todd pretty well, I think, which is probably why he doesn't really fear him, at least not when it comes to his own safety. I was rewatching the show (again) and John has no problems telling Todd off when he feels that it's deserved, even when Todd is unrestrained and there are no guards around. (Granted, John does also have the self-preservation instinct of a moth with a candle at times...)

His lack of fear definitely is part of what draws Todd to him, I think. John is fearless, stubborn and clever, and he readily challenges Todd on a regular basis. He also manages to surprise him at times, and I think that's a rarity for Todd.

*flail!* I totally loved this. I especially loved the parallels with Todd and Halling--they gave me a good chuckle, since they're both played by Heyerdahl.

I loved the slow unfolding of appreciation John has for Todd, and you convey excellently the different gestures and subtle nuances of what it means to be a Wraith; my favorite part of this is the scene on the hive ship where Todd is speaking to the enemy Wraith. So awesome!

And then the end! With John and the kissing and Todd's Wraith patience! <3

I'm glad you liked it! I couldn't resist playing with the Todd - Halling connection because it amuses me greatly.

I had a lot of fun writing this, because I got to play with different angles. I love the Wraith as a species and the show doesn't go in depth about them, so any chance I get to write about Wraith in any way is a good one, and especially when I get to play with the relationship between these two.

I like writing kissing, even if kissing Wraith is probably considered an extreme sport. *chuckles*
