THANK YOU SANTA! What an amazing gift-fic to receive. The post-Siege drug-withdrawal may be a bit of a cliché but it's a premise I love and when it's done this well, it's a sheer pleasure to read.
Favourite parts:
ironic in its own Alanis Morisette kind of way - sporffle, I'm imagining Rodney angsting to Alanis now *g*
he had smiled gamely and agreed the vacation would be nice and promptly made plans to swing by his lab at three am when no one else would be there and Carson would be in bed. If he'd been feeling generous, he might have even stopped to pick Radek up along the way. - This is so very in character it makes me clap my hands in glee! Especially the part about picking up Radek!
Of course, he'd had one of Rodney's minions block it from accessing Atlantis' systems, but Rodney would have been a little disappointed in Carson if he hadn't. - This whole paragraph really. This is the Carson I love (and miss, omg so much!) and his "pure Scottish evilness" when it comes to doing the best for his patients and friends is portrayed

This was awesome. The characterization was spot-on, I LOVED the Meredith-references (as well as the lead cheerleader backref) and the "Mass" joke was hysterical. Everything, this whole fic, is just so detailed. Every paragraph has this little minutia in it that ties it in with canon or everything else. The devil is in the details, but God is, too. The "Hamster Dance" is awesome, as was the "half the internet" comment.
:-) hee, this was awesome. I loved the physics jokes, the references to school days and Rodney's family - the whole thing just worked really well together, good job.

This is delicious. I love the way that Radek is able to bamboozle Rodney, and his, well, sophistication, European-ness. Carson locked them in (a) room(s) together! This is my favourite kind of story.
