Holy crap! That thing on John’s neck is frightening!

Rodney is trying to help, but he is frightened too.

Kavanagh is a total tool.

We get to meet Radek Zelenka. I so love Radek. I wish they would put what he’s saying in subtitles. Even if all they could put is $&^*^%$%.

Cling-on… really…

I think Elizabeth is too small to have two butt cheeks. I’ll bet she’s just got one little uni-cheek there.

Okay let’s take time out for Teyla to pray. She didn’t ask for that Halling you did.

Someone should tape a kick me sign to Kavanaugh’s back or better yet figure out a way to cut his hair off one inch at a time without him being aware. Then when he notices get Carson to tell him some alien virus is making the hair retract back into his head and watch him freak out.

I think they did a good job on Sheppard’s make-up. He really looks sick.

Hey Aiden is really good with that lube!

I love 38 minutes mainly because it is one of the first woobie john episodes! I love when they hurt one of my boys because they someone (rodney!) or whatever, gets to make it better ( ... )

It's also the first time we seem them connect. See the way they are all worried about Sheppard, despite the danger they are all in.

Yes!! They're still shaking out the rough edges, finding out what team is for them. It's glorious!

I know! I like, too, that they are finding themselves as well as each other. That part where Ford takes charge and pushes Rodney through the puddle so that he can stay and open the hatch... You get to see Ford grow into himself just a little right there in that moment.

That's right she did! I would love to see how John chose his team. I wonder if Rodney saving the day in Hide and Seek had anything to do with it :)

Funny how the inertial dampeners in the jumpers cease to function when a good jolt is "dramatic ( ... )

Aw, where is Chuck?
Chuck didn't get technician status until The Brotherhood. That's still a few months away.

David Hewlett is completely awesome at pressing buttons. Just saying.
I always think of him pushing Ctrl+Alt+Delete at that point.

I wasn't all that fond of Elizabeth at first, but I think her showdown with Kavanagh made me flat out love her. If only she could have stayed so awesome!
I completely agree with that. If only she had stayed as Awesome!

Markham and Stackhouse were kinda cool. I wish they'd had a larger part in the series.
The two are also some of my favourite minor characters in the show. I just wish we could've seen more of them. Ah, so many great minor characters that just disappear!

This is one of my favourite episodes from the first season without a doubt. I could watch this, along with Rising, over and over again. Of course there are others but I'll comment on them when we get to watching them.
