Do you want folks links to post existing fanworks here, or will you have a collection post for those? (Or do you want me to post that in the format I used previously?) Whichever way you want is cool; I didn't want to post the collection-page thing if it doesn't fit your new model but I'm happy to do so if it does.
(Hoping to make time to get more into this stuff; I just had a hugely pregnant cat fall into my care ....)
I was hoping they would do their own Rec posts or for fanworks that are their own, they can post here as if they were posting the fic for the first time - e.g. with the headers, etc.
Then every week I will update the Tag Directory with people recs and fanworks and stuff.
What do you think?
ETA: oops, when i said they can post "here", I meant, "here in the community". I would like, if possible to have every post separate, and then just bring them together in a "collection" with the tags. Let me know what you think.

I am very new to Lj and haven't figured out the Lj-cut or the HTML tags yet and sadly I'm a slow learner. I am making episode related userpics and also writing a couple of informal essays but I don't know how to post them correctly as a main entry. I'm more comfortable linking via URL in a comment to my journal rather than trying to create an entry here. (At least at this stage.) Is it okay to link here to my essays and artwork? Many of your instructions are confusing me--that isn't your fault, I've never posted to a group before so I don't understand all the ramifications. Sorry to be such an idiot. I'm not quite ready for prime time but I've decided to jump in anyway.

Go ahead, I want this to be as painless as possible for people. So, if you want to link in this post instead, I will either tag this post or create posts for you based on the links you leave here.
I am all about promoting the fanwork, so whatever is easiest for you!
I have eight stories to rec - do you want me to post each one separately, or do one post with all eight in them? I have a tendency to collect links to lots of stories, hence having so many to rec (though one of the stories is mine, so no problem finding that one!!).
LOL, it is fine to rec your own! :) And fine to put all in one post - instead of putting "Rec: Title" as the subject header, just put "Rec: Various" as the subject header. Just remember to at least put the title, author, pairing, rating and any warnings in each rec so that people have an idea of what they are clicking on.
Okay, will do this - probably tomorrow now as it's late in the UK and I need to go to bed!! Still, gives time for others to rec things - and maybe I'll have less to rec!!
Not technically an SG:A fic, but in the realm of "inspired by"... There's a fun Magnificent Seven story by nottasha that has the personal shield device making an appearance in the Mag7 universe:
