Does anyone remember who posted a while back pondering who that photo of the kid plus white-haired person was of next to Shep's bed was? Joe Flanigan's revealed that it's of him as a kid and Evel Knievel, the stunt driver.
Adds that little extra dimension to Shep. Rodney has photos of a previous cat, his degrees and a picture of the spaceship with the Canadian flag in his quarters, John has the Johnny Cash poster (also Joe Flanigan's), a guitar, a skateboard and a picture of him and one of his boyhood heroes.
The fact that one of Shep's childhood heroes was a stuntman somehow does not surprise me in the slightest.
ETA : This was said by JF at the Pegasus One convention, for those wanting to know. Also, Joe cannot play the guitar. But it's entirely possible Shep can.
