Funny -- made me laugh! Nitpick: I don't think Rodney would say "holler". Otherwise, a VERY enjoyable story! Thanks!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was a lighter moment for the early team that just begged to be written. Thanks for your input on "holler." I was looking for something more masculine sounding than "scream," but it is always important to keep the character in mind when searching for the right synonym. Those details really help or hinder the flow of a story.

LIKED this. It even seemed too long, as to go on long enough to be a full-length story. This a lot of good dialogue crammed into a travel-size space. Everyone was in character for the start of the show and I LOVED Teyla's line about superheroes.

Thank you. I really wanted to capture the team as they were at that moment in team, so I'm happy to hear that they came across "in character." This was the first time I'd written anything with Ford in it and I especially wanted to portray the type of personality he showed when he playfully teased Sheppard that gate travel "Hurts like hell, sir," and then gleefully tossed himself backwards through the wormhole.

Hehe! Cool. Loved Rodney's overreaction, but it can take a few seconds for the pain to start when you get hurt...

Rodney is fun to write. Hmmm - maybe the injuries would accumulate without notice while using the personal shield and then later...
