While this is a very good story, well written and enjoyable with a great ending, I didn’t feel it played as well to the theme of surprise. It was more the ‘absence of disappointment.’ The team set out with the goal of finding Aiden and succeeded. A good feeling, but not necessarily a surprise. It would have been more of a surprise had they set out looking for something else and found Ford instead. Still, this is a scene I would have like to have seen on the show. The lack of resolution of the Ford story line during the last season was a disappointment.
