Aftermath and Comfort fic
*Le sigh* yes, me again. Comfort fics have been heavy on my mind.
Minimum word length: around 1000
Maximum word length: no limit
Character(s): Sheppard, anyone
Plot idea: Aftermath fic that can either be based on an episode or made up, where John is sick or injured or exhausted to the point of collapse. It can be the consequence of a situation or certain actions, or something that has been building over time. Mental angst can be involved, or just physical whump, and the team does what they can to help him (or can be just one of the team taking care of him, or one then eventually all of them). The method used to help him can be anything - unusual, unique, or simple.
Genre: Hurt/comfort, friendship, AU if you want but not a must.
Don’t want: Gut wounds, John being "cured" by being bullied or teased. The whole story taking place only in the infirmary.
Definitely want: John at his breaking point - physical, mental, or both. Lots of comfort and caring.
Anything else: I'm not quite sure how to describe what I'm looking for. I don't want it to be another "John gets hurt/sick/ tired and the team bullies him into taking a nap and reprimands him for not taking better care of himself." I would like the situation to be exceedingly serious, either something everyone didn't see coming, or did but with nothing they could do about it until it was too late. Something that leaves everyone shaken and scared for Sheppard (maybe even to the point that Sheppard is scared for himself as well, but not a must).
