Very nice. I think you did a great job of characterizing John and the Ancients, both.

Thank you very much. I was so worried the challenge would be done before I got time to complete this and was a little worried I might have short-shifted a few things. Glad you didn't think so.

BEAUTIFUL!

I love the glimpse at the warrior Rodney became, too. How he leads with his gun just like John did.

My whole body is tingling with glee right now. Thank you!

John desperately wanted to turn and look behind him, to make sure he wasn't hallucinating or giving into wishful thinking or something. In the next moment, however, he saw another gun move parallel to his, and then felt Rodney's heavy - steady -- hand grasp then slid from his shoulder.

\o/ for Rodney.....

And yes, there was Rodney's gun again, which was probably as close to an apology that John was going to get from Rodney.

*g*

So very nice... I like that Rodney sees the reality of Janis and that he comes down firmly on John's side....

Thank you. I would have been concerned if Rodney could have met Janis during the first year or two, but I do feel that certainly after they'd gotten bitten by the Attero device, once he got over the gee whiz moment, Rodney would remember what assholes they've all been. Plus, he'd rather make his own galaxy shaking discoveries ;)

Wow! Very well done and does it ever fit the challenge. Creepy and sad and I really like the end and what it says about all of them.

Thank you. Let's here it for that fine line between genius and madness. Ten/ten thousand years alone could do it to anyone, but I found Janis a little creepy/too helpful with Elizabeth during that episode, plus he had that whole cavalier disregard for the rules -- not because he necessarily wanted to do the right thing, but because he wanted to show off. I got the idea almost right after the challenge was announced and had really worried it would be closed before I got the time to get it written.
