::falls off couch, laughing::

Okay, I want to write a coherent explanation of everything I loved about this, but I'm afraid I'm too busy giggling hysterically and wiping tears out of my eyes ;) Thank you for a desperately needed laugh!

This is one of the reasons why I'm not doing debate research right now. x3 Tani is greatly amused and should stop laughing this hard before she falls out of her chair.

'Acting on very stupid standing orders...' <-- WIN.

It was a slightly silly order, wasn't it? You'd think they'd borrow a planet-wide ARW from the Asgard, but that would be too intelligent.

Well, I suppose it does cover all the major points of the mission :)

If you didn't have to keep retyping this, we'd have more time for this bit here

Why do I think this will be the most effective argument for John doing the report properly next time?! I loved that John feels the need to specify that they're having sex twice - that's a strong dedication to the truth, there. Though - Cam Mitchell, innocent? Thank goodness for the 'supposedly'!

Oh, it's definitely a more effective argument. He dislikes doing mission reports even when they're for actual missions, let alone missions he had to go against orders to do.

Yeah, Cam isn't really all that innocent, but everyone knows that SG-1's golden boy would never do something like this without the corrupting influence of Sheppard. Right?

In conclusion, suck on it Landry.

That is fantastic. I want John to be my CO. Life would be far more interesting.

Interesting, yes, although not always in a good way. :D

.. true, I would probably end up being the one LT who's always getting kidnapped by the pointy spear people or something, and getting rescued by McKay? not fun. (unless Lorne comes too, then its ok.)

I wouldn't be too sure about that. Lorne being along just demotes you to "even more of a redshirt". Case in point: that time when John turned into a bug. Lorne didn't even look back to see if his marine companions were coming before tossing a grenade behind him. LTs in particular seem to have pretty bad luck. It's always "the replicators bombed Lt. Kemp" or "Lt. Jacobs was eaten" or "Lt. Kenmore is actually a Wraith who's being experimented on in contravention of just about every medical ethical standard".

NCOs seem fairly safe, though.
