I love this passage: "Their leader was called Sheppard, and he was a clear winter morning, cold and hard and beautiful. McKay was their wise man, as quick and brilliant as summer lightning. Teyla was an autumn stream, bringing life and hope to parched places, and Ronon was the fierce, inviolate shoots of spring, too strong to be killed by any winter." Gorgeously written. The Rashomon-like clash of the different versions told by those in different perspectives (when you add in the Atlantean view of events seen in the episode) is very intriguing.

Thank you! I'm endlessly fascinated by subjective viewpoint in stories, so I really enjoyed writing this one. I'd originally planned to make up an incident of my own that would be the focus of the two different viewpoints, but I quickly realised that Outsiders gave me everything I needed.

So very nice..... tales do change as they are told and not all endings are happy... for there are those who, in living, lose what they have that gives their life meaning....

That was marvelous. The outsider's view of the team and what transpired on that planet. :)

I loved the two different voices--both are done very well in their own way, poetic and stark. The contrast really makes the story work.
