::presses hand to heart:: Jack's a grandpa. I love how he interacts with Bean. Everybody, really. And that Rodney retaliates with tofu! HE HATES tofu!

Hee, thank you! He could have been an uncle, but *shakes head sadly* Oh, well! Personally, I think that Rodney and Jack both consider tofu a blight upon the earth and a dire punishment.... In a few years, when Max hits the obligatory vegetarian phase, I think John will be cool with the tofu and seitan stir-fries. Jack and Rodney, meanwhile, will be out back bonding over the grill. Bean will, of course, be fishing *g*

You're smart enough to make your own second chances. That is *so* perfect... and that they survived the wars but damaged is just so real....

::sniffle:: So nicely done!!!

I'm sensitive to kidfic, especially adoption stuff, but you handled this very well. It's lovely.

Thank you! I'm glad I didn't offend you (I'm assuming you are adopted or have adopted children). I tend to write kids based on the kids around me: they never turn out perfect, but hey, who does?

I love this verse, and I always love seeing more bits from it - and bonus Jack POV FTV! :)

Such a beautiful sense of home and family, while still feeling real. I'm really enjoying what you're doing with this 'verse.
