Oooh, nice. I really like this. It says so much in just a few words. :)

Thanks. I'm fond of the idea behind it, but it's awkward and weird. However, I've decided (like with the ds_flashfiction community) to play in every single challenge - and if I can't get inspiration, I give myself about 5 minutes to write a drabble. ;) Hopefully I'll be happier with the next one.

And now I've written nearly more whining about it than is in the story itself ;)

Oh. Good one. Thanks.

If this is what comes out without inspiration - hey, just drabble on !

Thanks. I've made a promise to play in every challenge. And I do like trying to tell a story in 100 words.

This is really nice! You shouldn't be unhappy with it. It's nice.
I especially liked this line:
And when he did he'd find himself sitting hidden around the side of the balcony idly thinking about something simple - like exchange splitting of Nickel d-bands from inverse photoemission data.

Thanks!

exchange splitting of Nickel d-bands from inverse photoemission data.

I actually have no idea what that means, I just found it in a random google search ;)
