I got a little teary, too - though that might have been more to do with the fact that I wrote it, then lost the entire thing and had to rewrite it from scratch. I think that extra bit of emotion pushed me over the edge.

Thanks! I was rather anxious about it, because of the juxtaposition of the silly humour and the sadness of the situation, so I'm glad you enjoyed it.
