Oh, Beth! This is why I adore you! This was absolutely perfect! Not only did you paint a picture of Rodney's childhood which feels dead on to me, but the whole story was brilliant AND you brought in the "I was struck by lightning once" comment from the Storm! How awesome are you! Thank you for writing this! You perked up my night!

Your lovely comments perked up my night as well. Thank you for taking the time to let me know that you enjoyed my story. Rodney's line from The Storm is what prompted this fic.

My fellow list sibs should be thankful that I resisted the idea to include a hyperlink to a Prism vid at the end of the story. Instead of Prism, my evil muse, the Imp of the Perverse, wanted me to Rick-roll the list. (Bad muse!) I could send you an actual link to Prism, but I'll spare your ears. This is just gorgeous and makes perfect sense. Yeah, I believe this is what Rodney's childhood must have been like. Poor kid. And I loved that you told us about his lighning story! Finally! Now we know how it happened.

Thanks so much for your very kind words. The bare bones details of the lightning strike are taken from a RL incident reported in the news a while back. H/C junkie that I am, I thought that I would share the pain with poor Rodney.
