Heh. While writing it, my brain kept insisting that the scenario wasn't going to work. My curiousity kept saying, "But don't you want to know how it ends?"

Curiousity won.

This is great - I love the differences here, the way you mix everyone around - and Rodney, sorry, Merdith as the runner is a brilliant concept!

What I also like it that everyone still seems to be in character - even if that means Merdith won't shut up!! *g*

For me, the most important thing about this AU was that the characters were still them in personality, even if their roles and backgrounds were different.

And, yes, Merdith was set to jabber his way through the story without a respite.

Ohhh, cool! Rodney as Ronon, Teyla as Sheppard, Sheppard as Rodney and Ronon and Teyla, I loved it. Your mix and match was excellent. Very interesting universe you have created here. Love it!

Sheppard was nearly the runner, while Rodney was the native leader, and Ronon the Earth scientist.

But I just couldn't resist making Rodney the runner and letting his tongue run free at the same time as his legs did.

That was... different, but different in a way that actually worked. I really liked how they were all themselves, only shifted to the left a bit. Nice!

Hee. To me, the core of an AU is that the characters are still recognisably the same people, just with a different role and background to them. And the 'shifting to the left' part is fun, too. :)
