One question re: the fourth one: there are several references to "the captain". Not sure if I missed another person being involved, or if that should be "colonel"?

no, you're right--fixed! I couldn't figure out exactly what rank certain people would have, so I made them up, and then went through and changed some (but clearly not all) of them. Good catch!

Oh, I love this! I'm always fond of outsider POV's, and these were all fun! Fun to keep guessing what they were doing, and if they would get the position, and it's fun to imagine them all on Atlantis, keeping the place going. The last one was particularly sweet, and I cracked up at the "how do you feel about whales"? You did a wonderful job giving us a sense of who these people interviewing are, and how they would fit in (or not, in the case the Judge Advocate) on Atlantis.

Well, the whale question was a dealbreaker: Rodney needs to have an ally on this. And I, too, love outsider POVs--one of the reasons I like this fandom is it that all the characters get to be outsiders occasionally. I did try to make each of them be a little more than just a job applicant, although it was hard b/c I was also trying to make this story a reasonable length. Thanks for commenting!

The last one is actually the one I wrote first, and then I had to come up with 4 others or wait until the appropriate prompt came along. Bah, I laugh in the face of continuity! Anyway, I'm glad you liked it.
