I'm glad he finally realized that his team understands. Sheppard tries so much to go it alone, and he doesn't have to! They don't want him to!

... and Sheppard being Sheppard, he won't lean on them openly and vocally, but I think he does depend on them quite a lot, perhaps in more ways than he knows.

Thanks! I always seem to end up having to hurt Sheppard physically in order to get him to do proper angst. He seems to admit things about his feelings that little bit more when he's hurting. So this time I just stuck him in a bed, wouldn't let him leave, and forced him to see these issues through to their conclusion. He'd have run away from me otherwise.

Brilliant response to the challenge. Very intense and moving, with a brief hint of humour here and there.

My baby scientists are still talking about it. Most of them think you're a hero, and I can't be having that; they're mine. (LOL!)

Loved the way the team understand what John is going through. The end scene was perfect.

Thank you! I do always like to put a bit of humour even into the saddest of stories, and normally Rodney is happy to oblige with some fun dialogue. :-)

Thank you! I do so love exploring this team. They're just there for each other, in those subtle, often-silent ways that matter.

This is wonderful. It's so seldom we get to see how the weight of command on John's shoulders makes him feel.

Thank you! It's not an aspect of Sheppard's character that I've explored quite so directly before, so I found it an interesting story to write.
