Oh boys!
Poor Rodney facing his fear only to have it confirmed, and John having to stand at the sidelines as it were.
And John deflecting the questions about the lest scientists so Rodney wouldn't have to deal with it. That, that right there is love.

John always plays it so close to the vest, I love stories where he shows how much he cares about Rodney. Great story! Are we sure the sea monster ate the other two divers?

The thing I've come to appreciate about John this past season is that what he feels and what he says aren't necessarily the same the thing. But his actions say even more. Thanks so very much! And, yes, alas, I believe the divers were so much squid chow. *G*

I love squid and a giant electric squid would be a hundred kinds of awesome...contemplated from the safety of my land-locked desk LOL.

Terms like you and me became as interchangeable as their breaths when John lifted his head and kissed Rodney slow and deep then looked into his eyes.

This made me meep and burble happily. What a lovely sentence. ♥

A great adventure story combined with hurt/comfort. John's POV as he reflected how he'll provide whatever Rodney needs was wonderful.
