I love the atmosphere of this story, the things we learn in the background - the use of Jolinar and Carter's naquadah/protein marker.

Eerie and plaintive.

I'm glad you liked it! ^_^ This one seems to be more of a miss than a hit feedback-wise, but it's one of my favorite out of my Muses responses to this prompt.

Out of curiosity: is the story supposed to be shaded in format? I'm getting some letters in various shades of grey, but it doesn't seem to form a pattern I can discern.

(And it's possible I just admitted to completely missing the point, but ohwell...)

Indeed it was on purpose! ^_^ I was trying to use the shades to show the different levels of memory (from the dark of the present, fading out into memory and then out into the next cycle of conversation), but I'm not sure how well that worked. ^_~;; heh
