I kinda love this. Mostly for the fact that there's a hard kernel of realness here. In that they aren't perfect. For all their happiness, you can also see the hints of dysfunction and flaws. Like, I was so angry that Rodney actually hit John, his domestic partner, and not only did he not apologize or anything to John, but John himself didn't bring it up and just took it in stride. I wanted to do some on the spot counseling right there! But I got over it, eventually. And then come to find out that when Rodney was about to cheat on him--that he's done it before...and John knows (but doesn't say anything)! And he gets off on the power he knows he has over John. yeah, Rodney is a bit of an asshole, but that makes it more real because these are the secrets and things people accept in marriages (which is not to say it's okay, but that it happens). Hopefully that makes some sort of sense. lol
Yup yup yup, agreed! In Rodney's defence, he doesn't usually make the same screw-up twice... Overall, though, I'd say that they have a fairly equal balance of power (and screw-ups) in their relationship, and they have a comfortable kind of love going.... Thanks for reading!

"Don't take this the wrong way, but when I get you home, I'm going to wrap you up in bubble wrap and duct tape you to the sofa."
Aww Protective!Rodney.
Also, I love that they live in Moose Jaw. I'm an hour away. Must go visit them. :)))
