I like what you're doing here. This especially:

It was the second thing she learned about them. The first was that they were loud.

The humans come across, not quite as childish, but being like children in some ways--running in and making lots of noise, developing a haphazard understanding of the world around them--but "she" is patient and curious, and doesn't look down on the humans for their shortcomings, because she knows how it all works. Nice.
