I'll say it again: I love this, especially the sweet, achy sex and the way the structure feeds that sense of something being missing, broken, incomplete. Wonderful stuff.

I'm just pissed off that they resorted to the hoary trope of "pregnant woman is just a vessel -- oooh, let's ratchet up tension by threatening her baby."

Bah.

What a cheap and easy way (for men) to weaken a strong woman: knock her up and, when she's too fat/awkward/hormonal to defend herself, let the bad guys kidnap her and lock her up.

The ONLY way they're going to redeem this storyline for me is if Teyla rescues herself. (And maybe the rest of the team in the bargain.)

Oh, this is lovely and hurty. I liked how everyday things seemed, recognizing that everyday life, including having to eat and socialize, still keeps going when things like this happen.
