Title: Family Author: canadian_snoopy Rating: PG-13 Word Count: 3255 Spoilers: Hot Zone Disclaimer: Not mine Summary: Rodney's sure his brain is staging a coup. Notes: Un-beta'ed and finished late at night, thus, read at your own risk
that was great!!! and i've actually had these bizarre thinking about people from the past and then realizing it was their b'day moments before...very neat!
there were a couple of amazingly insightful moments between them and about the team in general, but my favorite one must be Christ, the only people you got on a potentially one-way trip to another galaxy were a little messed up, anyway b/c we keep on talking about them a lot of times as if they were mostly normal...and i fear they really, really are not :D
thank you for a great mix of emotional and intellectual insight with a good side of humor!
But anyways (pleasedon'thitme), I'm glad what I put Rodney through actually *happens* to people other than me. Yay! I'm not crazy!
And really, thanks for the amazingly kind feedback. It's *so* nice to hear when stuff works and when it doesn't and knowing that other people are agreeing with what I say just makes me feel that I'm totally going in the right direction.
Glad to hear that you liked it and that you laughed -- and honestly, thanks again for the feedback!
LOL...i was almost relieved reading your story that i wasn't the only one. really, it's only happened one time extremely when i dreamed of my first bf about whom i hadn't thought in years and it bothered me all day until i realized it was his b'day that day....
there's actually some theories on the temporal sense of the unconscious...
anyway, yes, it was a great device around which rodney's neuroses and concerns worked...and i'll be like rodney any day of the week (though definitely not as brilliant :-)
Okay, this just made me beam. I loved Rodney's brain doing inexplicable things to him that then all turned out to make sense, and all his disgruntled conversations. And then there was hiding in caves, too! Just yay. :)
Rodney's brain works in mysterious ways, ooooooh :o))))
And really, you can't ever go wrong with caves, can you?
I'm glad you enjoyed!
PS: Your icon makes me die a little Every Single Time I read it. The expression on his face, along with the text and the starry lights... it gets me every single time. *laughs* Good job!
this was really good. well written with a good sense of humor and great characterizations. well done (I'm not doing too well at the feedback giving, but I had to tell you I enjoyed it)
